SNAGOV LAKEHOUSE

This stunning house is nestled gracefully at the edge of a sloping site, where it provides spectacular views of Snagov Lake. The architectural design aims to establish a close-knit connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

We worked closely with our client’s concept, who wanted a contemporary volume with clean shapes and a symmetrical layout for a vacation home that could also host private events as an exquisite hospitality experience for the guests.

Expansive windows fill up a significant part of the facades, flooding the interior with natural light, and offering breathtaking views of the lake in the carefully designed landscapes. These are complemented by vertical wooden blinds, that add a touch of warmth and elegance. Designed as a pivoting and retractable system, they provide both privacy and a seamless connection to the outdoors.

As a one-of-a-kind feature, an infinity pool is placed on the first-floor terrace, creating an illusion of water merging with the lake beyond and enhancing the outdoor experience. The home also features a pool in the front yard, that invites relaxation and leisure, offering the perfect setting for outdoor gatherings.

The entire building is powered by green energy, with solar panels adorning the roof and the back facade, showcasing a commitment to sustainability.

At night, ambient lighting adds a theatrical effect to the scenery, transforming the house into a softly glowing beacon in the dark landscape. The strategically placed lights accentuate the structure’s clean lines and create a warm and inviting atmosphere around the pools and terraces.

With this project, our goal was to establish a harmonious blend of modern lifestyle and eco-friendly design that creates the perfect retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation, all while merging with the beauty of its surroundings.
